Bollywood News: Salman Khan Salman Khan will depart from his goody-goody onscreen image to play a corrupt police officer from UP in brother Arbaaz Khan’s home production.

When was the last time we saw Salman playing an uncouth, unsophisticated character. In almost all the films he does he’s dressed up as an uber cool dude with a unique style statement. But now, the actor will undergo an image makeover for director Abhinav Kashyap’s film ‘Dabangg’.

The movie will have Sallu playing a corrupt and ill-mannered cop from UP. The actor will also mouth his dialogues in vernacular Hindi.





“Salman's fans have never seen him like this before,” Arbaaz gushed while speaking about the film.

Interestingly, Abhinav, who is Anurag Kashyap’s brother, originally approached Arbaaz Khan for a role in the film. But Arbaaz liked the script so much that he offered to produce the film. It would be his first film as producer.

While Salman plays the lead, Arbaaz, too, will have an important role. The female lead would be played by Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha , who’s already begun preparing for her film.
