1 Jul 2009, 1938 hrs IST
Hyderabad, India: A Congress MP has been booked for assaulting a bank Manager in Hyderabad.
Agitated over a loan approval, Nagarkurnool MP M Jagannatham allegedly slapped Manager of Grameen Vikas Bank R Reddy during a heated argument.
Defending himself, the MP accused the bank manager of deliberately delaying the loans for SC/STs. In the latest development, the MP has reportedly accepted his mistake and apologised saying it was not deliberate and he was just trying to catch hold of his (manager's) shoulder. The MP accused the manager of not following the protocol and being rude to him. On their part, the Congress party promptly ordered a probe into the incident. 0 (0) |
