Bollywood News: Katrina Kaif When she speaks about contentment in life and her urge to learn more, it’s hard to believe that the top female celeb of the country, Katrina Kaif , has never been to college. But life itself is a better teacher for the actress whose film New York released on Friday.

In the film, Katrina plays Maya, who is a college-going girl with a bohemian attitude. She loves her college like any teenager. For Katrina, who started earning at a very young age of 14, and never got the chance to study further because of her modeling assignments, going to a college remained a distant dream. But by doing ‘New York’ she has become familiar with the college life.

For the movie, Katrina’s look is kept simple. She is looking younger in comparison to her earlier movies. The actress tells to a daily, “It’s really nice to play your age some times”. ‘New York’ is Katrina’s first Yashraj flick. She is thankful to director Kabir Khan and producer Aditya Chopra for trusting her and giving her the role of Maya. And Maya is someone with whom Katrina can completely relate to.







It was also fun for the lady to work with Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham . Katrina admits being the butt of jokes by her co-stars on the sets of the film but shares a great rapport with them.

While getting candid in an interview with the daily, Katrina even commented on how different it was for her to shoot ‘New York’, as till now she has done mainly light-hearted comedies, which demanded nothing much from her.
