Kozhikode, Kerala: As many as 60 crafted items, including colourful blue art pottery in different motifs and microwave proof pots and pans from Khurja in Uttar Pradesh, would be on display at a Swadeshi craft mela beginning here tomorrow.

The 14-day fair organised by the Hindustan Hastkala Gramodhyog Sansthan Samiti would be inaugurated by a national award winning artisan, HHGSS Secretary M Ashraf told reporters here today.

Some of the other attractions in the 14-day fair would be Saharanpur wooden items, Muradabad barass wares, Pilakhua bed spreads in multi colour designs, Lucknow Chikankari, Gorakhpur terracotta, Kanpur leather craft, Jaipuri lac bangles, jewellery , Mojai Glossy Jari work, Banraja mirror works on bags/wall hangings and Badhmer vegetable dyes block print bedsheets.

The main aim of the fair was to uplift the down-trodden craftsmen and weavers by marketing their products, he added.
