It’s been a little more than five months since Kavya Madhavan tied the knot with Nischal Chandran, a failed actor, and rumour is rife that their marriage is on the rocks. Though there’s yet not been an official confirmation of this by Kavya or her parents, Kavya has flown back to Kochi from her husband’s home in Kuwait.

In fact, reports say Kavya’s family has already approached a lawyer to file for divorce.

The reasons of rift in the five-month long marriage are unclear, but sources close to Kavya are quoted as saying that Kavya and Nischal could not get along and he kept harassing her with allegations that she had had an affair with a top Malayalam actor.

Meanwhile, Nischal’s career was on a downslide and he was even jobless for a while.

Kavya, who had announced her retirement from films after marrying Nischal in February this year, was reportedly being compelled by her husband to join the industry again. Unable to take the harassment, the actress reportedly flew to her parent’s home.

An official confirmation that she’s seeking divorce is still awaited.
