Kerala News: Puducherry, The burial of the mortal remains of Kerala Governor and three time former Puducherry Chief Minister M O H Farooq, who passed away in Chennai will be held at the Ouppalam Kabarsthan here at 1630 hours today. His body which was brought to Puducherry, was kept at his residence to enable the public to pay homage.

Kerala Chief Minsiter Oomman Chandy,union ministers A K Antony and V Narayansami, among others, were expected to reach here today to attend the funeral of Mr Farooq. The Puducherry administration declared a holiday today to mourn the death of Mr Farooq. Meanwhile, condoling the death of Mr Farooq , Puducherry Chief Minsiter N Rangasamy said it was an irrepairable loss not only to Puducherry,but also to the nation.

Recalling the love and affection of Farooq had for the people of Puducherry and his efforts for the development of the union territory, Mr Rangasamy expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. Former Cheif Minsiter V Vaithilingam, PCC President A V Subramanian,N R Congress General Secretary V Bhalan, among others, also condoled the death of Mr Farooq.
