Kerala traders on agitation; Marching to Parliament on Feb 22

Kerala News: Kozhikode, On February 22, The Kerala traders organisation, Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) will take out a march to parliament demanding revocation of govt's decision to allow Foreign Direct Investment in the retail sector in India.
Talking to news persons here KVVES state President T Naziruddin said retail sector in the state would be jeopardized if the the government opens up the floodgates for multinational corporate giants directly affecting about 10 lakh traders and 40 lakh dependents.
More than 10,000 activists representing the traders in the state would participate in the stir in the national capital, he said. Prior to that a stir declaration convention would be held here on February 9 to be participated by many leaders of different political parties and socio-cultural field. A propaganda campaign on January 30 and 31 also will be held.
